The Waste Land, 2012

In 2012, Turner Contemporary in Margate commissioned films by Mark Wallinger and Lindsay Seers, inspired by T.S. Eliot's poem "The Waste Land" and its connection to Margate. Wallinger's film, titled "The Waste Land", was shown in a special viewing space overlooking the sea, while Seers' film explored similar themes. Additionally, a multimedia walk inspired by the poem took place in Margate, incorporating locations like the Lloyds Bank where Eliot worked and Change Alley.
